Guarantee
We guarantee that you will be satisfied with the quality of both material and workmanship in all of our products. If you are not, please notify us at once and we will take the necessary steps to correct the situation to your satisfaction. However, we reserve the right to limit such action if you have cut, finished, installed or joined the product in any way.
Shipping Schedule
All orders received by noon are put in process that day; orders received after noon will be processed the next business day. We do our best to adhere to the following schedule, although large or complex orders may take extra time:

We are normally closed the week between Christmas and New Years. If you have a time-sensitive order during that time, it is suggested you confirm the expected date of shipment when placing your order.
* Except for Yankee Heritage
** Time for individually-ordered corner samples varies depending on the amount of orders for them. While it generally takes around 2 weeks, it may be more or less. Contact customer service for a more accurate estimation.
Freight
Shipping charges are actual freight charges plus an order processing charge of $5 per order.
Shipping by UPS is pre-paid and added to your invoice, F.O.B.* Chester, VT. Larger orders or those containing lengths over 8′ are shipped by truck. For more details, see the Shipping page.
You may also choose to pick up an order at your own risk. You are responsible to determine the suitability of your vehicle for transport of any product purchased from Vermont Hardwoods.
* F.O.B. (Free On Board):The buyer is responsible for all costs incurred after the cargo has been loaded.
Payment
We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover. If you have a credit card declined more than three times in a one year period, all future declines will be subject to a $5 per attempt handling charge.
We can ship your order COD or you may also pre-pay by check or money order, but please call ahead to verify pricing and approximate shipping costs. After your first order, ask for a credit application if you would like to establish an account with terms of Net 30 Days.
Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) checks will be subject to a $20 charge. We reserve the right to request cash or equivalent if there is excessive NSF activity on your account.
Changes
Prices, terms, and conditions of sale are all subject to change without notice. We do notify all regular customers of any significant changes before they become effective.
Returns
Changed your mind? Moulding that you have not cut, joined, or finished may be returned. Lumber and plywood that has not been cut, finished, or modified in any way may also be returned. Freight or other transportation is at your own cost.
Returns will be entered as a credit on your account to be used against future orders, minus the following restocking “fees” which will be deducted from the amount of your order:
