Hurricane Irene Relief
First off, thank you to all who have called to see how we are doing. We feel very fortunate that Vermont Hardwoods fared well - we are located on a hill and had no damage to our property or buildings. As a result we consider it an honor to be able to help some of those not so fortunate.
Vermont Hardwoods is providing two services in the wake of this disaster claimed by many to be the worst natural disaster in Vermont recorded history. Many local homes with damaged or destroyed floors will be offered low cost to completely free flooring, and frame shops will be offered several free upgrades that will not only save them money but increase their productivity as they try to get their feet back under them.
Flooring
Those with homes in towns of Chester, Andover, Cavendish, Proctorsville, Ludlow, Weston and Grafton who have lost their house or need to replace floors that have been damaged by the flood are eligible for hardwood or pine flooring at very low to no cost. While this offer is limited to 500 SF of available materials on a first come, first served basis, The Flooring Mill expects to be able to supply floors for at least a dozen homes in the greater Chester area.
- If your home was totally destroyed, you will be eligible for free flooring material.
- If you suffered water damage only, you will be eligible for a discount of 75% off the retail price.
You must provide evidence of loss, in the form of photos and/or documents identifying the property as yours and showing the damage or loss, or a copy of documentation from FEMA or an insurance assessor showing the type and amount of loss.
Material options are subject to availability. Please fill out the form below to qualify.
Framing
Not limited to just those frame shops in Vermont, any frame shop on the entire east coast is eligible if they have suffered from flooding due to hurricane Irene. The following benefits are offered:
- Chops at length price
- Hoffmann Dovetail Wedge system at no charge
- Handling charges waived
Primarily due to concern for shops in Vermont, these free upgrades are available through August 31, 2012 as an attempt to get and keep small businesses back on their feet after what many are claiming is the worst natural disaster in Vermont's recorded history.
To qualify, please take identifying pictures of your shop showing the damage and submit the form below.
