Facility
Vermont Hardwoods operates out of a 30,000 square foot building in the heart of Chester, VT. We are easily reachable from all directions, and a short ride from the I-91 corridor.
All lumber is stored inside our enclosed warehouse. While not heated it rarely drops below freezing even in the coldest winter, as it is adjacent to our office and shop areas. In the summer it is opened to our air conditioned shop to maintain acceptable levels of temperature and humidity for lumber storage.
While we don't have a "loading dock" per se, we do load and unload van and flatbed trucks of any size legal to drive in Vermont.
Capabilities
Our forte is straight-line millwork, that is, almost any profile of a linear extruded (moulded) shape. This of course includes our primary lines of picture frame moulding and flooring, but can extend to all kinds of other products that fit similar parameters. For a quote, contact us!

Planing
Flattens and planes in one pass
Up to 6" thick x 16" wide
Up to 8" thick x 24" wide
Single surface flattening up to 6" thick x 36" wide.
Note: the feed mechanism leaves little dents on the back side

Single edge, unlimited width
Rip two edges up to 8"

Moulding
Up to 6" x 13"
Maximum profile depth is 1-5/8"

Two sizes: ¾" and 1¼" spindles
